PyMOL is a 3D molecular visualization and analysis software. With PyMOL you can produce high-quality renderings of biological macromolecules, such as proteins, DNA, or RNA, but you could also use it to display small molecules in 3D. It is commonly used in the life sciences for creating 3D images used in presentations, publications, and reports. You can even use PyMOL to make a live presentation to showcase different views of your molecule(s) in different styles. PyMOL is developed as an open source software and is now maintained by the company Schr?dinger Inc.
This hands-on tutorial will provide you with basic as well as advanced visualization skills for the creation of high-resolution graphics of your biomolecules. After taking this course, you will know how to quickly access, display, and analyze molecules and get some basic scripting knowledge in order to facilitate and automate your work with PyMOL.
