Application Dates Autumn Semester 2025
ETH Zurich offers two Master's application windows: an early one for all applicants with an international Bachelor's degree and a second one only open to candidates with a Bachelor's degree from a Swiss university.
International Bachelor's degrees: 1 - 30 November 2024
This application window is mandatory for:
- students with a Bachelor's degree from outside Switzerland
- students who wish to apply for the Excellence & Opportunity Scholarship Programme (ESOP) or a Direct doctorate programme (DD)
- students with a Master's degree/PhD from a Swiss university who obtained their undergraduate degree outside Switzerland
All other candidates are also welcome to apply during this period.

Swiss Bachelor's degrees: 1 April – 30 April 2025
This application window is only for students with a Swiss Bachelor's degree.
Applications from candidates who obtained their Bachelor's degree outside Switzerland cannot be considered.
Please note: students who have obtained their Master's degree or PhD at a Swiss university but hold an undergraduate degree from a university outside Switzerland must apply in November/December.
Applicants who were rejected in the first application round must not re-apply for the same Master’s degree programme in the second application round.
