On Friday, 11 December 2015, ETH Global will host a lecture by Prof. Philip G. Altbach, Director of the Center for Higher Education at Boston College, on "Global Higher Education Trends and the Future of World-Class Universities". The lecture will be opened by Prof. Dr. Gerd Folkers, Collegium Helveticum. ?

On the 16th of October 1855, 160 years ago, a first group of 68 students began their studies at the Swiss Federal Polytechnic, now known as ETH Zurich. Today more than 18,500 students from 110 different countries study at one of the world's leading universities for technology and the natural sciences.

The goal of the proposed workshop is to explore and discuss the political economy and the intercultural and transnational narratives of Chinese media from a global perspective. Consequently, the workshop aims to explore some issues at the intersections of the following fields:

ETH Zurich has teamed up with swissnex Brazil and Presence Switzerland to bring AtlantikSolar to Brazil. AtlantikSolar, a key project of the Autonomous Systems Laboratory at ETH Zurich, is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that demonstrates how promising solar technology benefits both society and the environment.
