MARSS Big-on-Small Award for Pané Vidal
Salvador Pané, senior scientist at Professor Bradley Nelson’s Multi-Scale Robotics Lab at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, was honored with the Big-on-Small Award at the International Conference on Manipulation, Automation and Robotics at Small Scales (MARSS).
Salvador Pané received the Big-on-Small Award for his outstanding achievements in micro- and nanorobotics. The committee highlighted his important contributions in materials and fabrication for robotic applications at small scales, and the European projects that he has lead.
The laudation was held at the closing ceremony of the conference, which took place from 1 to 5 July 2019 at the Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. Pané received a commemorative plaque along with a cash prize.
