Leopoldina honours Tanja Stadler’s achievements in bio-statistics

Tanja Stadler, head of the Computational Evolution group at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering, receives the prestigious Carus Medal for her achievements in applying mathematics on biology, in particular for advancing phylodynamic techniques, the statistical framework to infer pathogen transmission dynamics from genetic data. The Carus Medal is awarded by the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. Congratulations!
