Steps in the internal application process
An internal job change consists of the following steps:
You can find vacancies on the internal and the external job portal of ETH Zurich.
Keep yourself regularly informed about externally advertised positions at ETH Zurich by subscribing to the ETH Jobmail.
Prepare your documents as carefully as you would if you were applying externally. Your application should include the following current documents:
- Letter of motivation
- resume / CV
- certificates and diplomas
Apply for the advertised position exclusively online via the ETH Zurich job portal.
If you are invited to a job interview, prepare well for it. Find out more about the position and the field. Use your ETH network for further preparation.
Check carefully to what extent you meet the job requirements. Think about which examples from your professional practice and career you can use to demonstrate your skills. Also consider the Social and Leadership competencies of ETH Zurich.
The function level and salary are based on the job profile and experience. HR Consulting determines the level and salary with the new line manager. You can find more information on salary determination here.
