Search for articles already ordered once from all orders placed on the ETHIS ordering platform and reorder directly if required. The procedure is described in more detail below.
- Three procurement channels
All three procurement channels are available in one place
- Procurement request: for procurements from CHF 10’000 (incl. VAT) that cannot be processed via an external supplier store.
- ETHIS procurement platform: for procurements in the internal web stores or in external supplier shops. In the external supplier shops, orders up to a maximum of CHF 161’549.95 incl. VAT (CHF 149’999.99 excl. VAT) are permissible, provided that the goods are not subject to inventory (goods from CHF 10’000 incl. VAT and a service life of at least 1 year). Such procurements must be processed via the procurement application.
- Free text orders: for procurements that are smaller than CHF 10,000 and are not available in any of the existing catalogs.

Definition of favored cost elements and frequency of e-mail notifications.
The favored cost elements are automatically suggested for procurements and can be adjusted if required. - Information
- Access to instructions / FAQs: explanations of various topics and the most frequently asked questions about the procurement process.
- Access to supplier conditions: Here you will find the detailed negotiated supplier conditions. These conditions may not be offered to persons outside ETHZ.
- Internal stores
Access to the ETH Webshop for laboratory / office consumables or the ETH furniture stores.

- External supplier shops
Access to the external supplier stores. With the ETH login, orders can be placed in the web store of the suppliers. The ETH conditions are automatically taken into account. When the shopping cart on the supplier store is ready, it is transferred to ETHIS with a mouse click and, depending on the order size, completed with or without additional approval.
