Start of construction of HPQ physics building draws nearer

We’re getting closer to the start of a major construction project at ETH Zurich’s H?nggerberg campus: the HPQ physics building. The digging of the foundations is scheduled to get underway in summer 2022, but preparations for the new building will soon be visible.
New building in Basel ready for occupancy in the second half of 2022

ETH Zurich’s Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering has been operational in Basel since 2007. The move into the new building on the Sch?llem?tteli site is a long-awaited step that will bring together all the department’s research groups under one roof and in close proximity to various important life sciences partners. Due to construction delays, the opening of the new building has been postponed to the second half of 2022.
Structural developments at ETH Zurich
ETH Zurich is evolving: the coming years will see not only the construction of new buildings, but also the transformation of interior space and office concepts. A townhall has been held to inform ETH members about architectural developments at ETH Zurich.
Workspaces of the future appear in Oerlikon
ETH Zurich is growing. To make more space for teaching, research and knowledge and technology transfer on campus, the Executive Board domains of Infrastructure and Personnel Development and Leadership moved to the Octavo building in Oerlikon this month. In this building near the railway station, employees work in open multi-space office premises that facilitate new forms of collaboration.
