Public tours in 2022: sustainable, accessible, free of charge
Our new programme of public tours is now online. Registrations for the Tuesday evening series of events are being taken for the first quarter of 2022.
We sincerely recommend our annual programme of public tours, which this year will see a number of changes – in both presentation and subject matter. This year, our public tours will for the first time carry the tagline “responsibility and sustainability”, which is one of ETH Zurich’s strategic areas of action – and an issue very much under the public spotlight. Selected tours relating to this topic are marked as such in the annual programme. In the first quarter, these include a tour of the Entomological Collection and a visit to the Waldlabor forest laboratory.
This year, the ETH eLink shuttle bus will feature in one of our public tours for the first time, as will the mansion Villa Hatt. At the same time, tour favourites such as “Albert Einstein” and “Thomas Mann” are of course still on the programme.
The new year also sees the introduction of our first public tours for the visually impaired. Moreover, 20 of our tours are available in sign language, and over 20 are accessible for wheelchair users.
Register now for our public tours
Registrations become available on a quarterly basis, with bookings now open for the first quarter. Registered customers receive advance notice, which means they can secure an early booking for tours as they become available in each quarter. That makes it well worth following our “external page Visit ETH Zurich” page on Instagram.
While numbers are limited, the tours are free and the knowledge they provide invaluable. So spread the word, and make sure you get a ticket: tours.ethz.ch
Possible adjustments due to Corona
Due to the changing Corona situation, there may be changes to the programme at short notice. We will be happy to inform you in advance by e-mail if an event is held digitally or has to be cancelled. Please register online for the corresponding public tour. Our calendar of events is updated on an ongoing basis.
