Special opening times and operating hours apply at ETH Zurich around the holidays.

Reduced services
All ETH buildings will be closed from Saturday 23 December 2023 until Tuesday 2 January 2024.
At the turn of the year, all customer counters will be closed – and will not respond to telephone calls or emails. You can still enter the buildings using your key or ETH card.
Help to save energy at ETH over Christmas:
- switch off electronic devices
- turn thermostats to level 1
- turn off taps and close windows.

What is the procedure for special incidents or emergencies?
For incidents concerning persons, buildings and infrastructure, the ETH Emergency Desk is at your service over the holiday period.

To contact the Emergency Desk, dial 888 for internal calls or +41 44 342 11 88 for external or mobile phone calls.

Sports Centre Polyterrasse
24.12.2023 individual training (no lessons) until 11.45 a.m.; closed from 12 noon.
25.12.2023 to 02.01.2024, sports centre and front desk closed.
Sports Centre Irchel
25.12.2023 closed.
26 to 30.12.2023, 9 a.m. to 5.45 p.m. individual training and Christmas special as per schedule; then closed.
31.12.2023, 9 a.m. to 1.45 p.m. individual training and Christmas special as per schedule; then closed.
1 and 2.01.2024 sports center closed.
Sports Centre H?nggerberg
23 to 25.12.2023 closed.

Other ASVZ sports centres
All other sports centres are closed over the holiday period. ASVZ offers external page videos for home workouts.
From 3 January 2024, all sports facilities will be open again during regular opening hours.
The ETH Library, special libraries, collections and archives will be closed from 23.12.2023 up to and including 02.01.2024.

The ETH shuttle bus eLink will operate normally until 22 December 2023. After that, the service will be suspended until 2 January 2024. The regular eLink timetable will apply again from Wednesday, 3 January 2024.
The Service Desk operated by IT Services will not be staffed from 23.12.2023 up to and including 02.01.2024.

ETH Zurich Tours
No guided tours will be offered and conducted from 22.12.2023 to 08.01.2024.

Print and Publish
The large-format printing systems in the self-service areas (PLOD) and the Print and Publish web shop will not be in operation from 22.12.2023, 12 h, up to 03.01.2024, 8 h. Open orders will be delivered from 04.01.2024.
Post
ETH internal mail for delivery by Logistics by the morning of 22.12.2023 must be dropped off at the postal delivery points by the evening of 20.12.2023.
From 23.12.2023 up to and including 02.01.2024, there will be no mail collection or delivery (including webshop orders). The normal postal service will restart on 03.01.2024.
A-Post and PostPac Priority items handed in at 必博官网,必博体育 Info by 21.12.2023 will be delivered throughout Switzerland in time for Christmas. All Info + Service Centers (ISC) will be open until 5 p.m. on 22.12.2023. After that, the counters will be closed up to and including 02.01.2024.
From 12 noon on 22.12.2023 to 03.01.2024, techpool will not process any requests. Please submit orders to be scheduled this year in good time.
Maintenance of buildings, facilities and outdoor areas
The Emergency Desk is staffed 24 hours a day throughout the holiday period. Dial +41 44 342 11 88 for external and mobile phone calls, or 888 for internal calls.
The ETH card (electronic identity card) allows access to the student workstations and offices in many of the ETH buildings. You can find more information about this at 24-hour access to student working places. Buildings without an electronic door system may be accessed with a key as usual.
The H?nggerberg underground car parks are accessible throughout the holiday period. In an emergency, please contact the Emergency Desk on +41 44 342 11 88 or 888 (internal calls).
Winter road maintenance is guaranteed on the roads on the ETH site. From 23.12.2023 to 02.01.2024, only a minimal winter service with snow clearance and gritting will be provided on the footpaths. Points of deliveries to buildings, including the associated ramps and building entrances, will not be cleared.
Winter services for the student housing buildings HWW and WHO at the H?nggerberg site are provided by the property management directly.
