Festive end of year celebration 2024

Over 1700 ETH members registered for this year's Christmas Reception of the Executive Board. They toasted the past year, talked a lot, laughed and of course enjoyed a delicious meal.

The traditional Christmas Reception of the Executive Board took place this year on Thursday, 19 December on the H?nggerberg campus in the HPH hall and in the Food Market. President Jo?l Mesot welcomed the employees and, in his short address, touched on a few highlights from the past year: ETH is on the move and is positioning itself for the future. This is evident in the new Space Master programme, the location in Heilbronn and important milestones for the H?nggerberg campus. Mesot praised the entire Executive Board, which is overcoming crisis after crisis and working to make ETH even more efficient, for example, with digitalisation methods. Last but not least, Mesot thanked all employees: “I see incredible excellence and commitment to ETH. I would like to thank you for everything you do.”

The sumptuous buffet was then opened in the Food Market. ETH members were able to savour dishes such as potato noodles, tarte flambée and sweet potato cream soup. DJ Tom Helweg provided stylish background music for the event.

The event was awarded the "Sustainable Event GOLD" label introduced in 2024 and was therefore deliberately designed to be sustainable and inclusive. The varied buffet offered exclusively vegetarian/vegan dishes and the decoration was stylishly realised with light (LED). The venue was also easily accessible.
