Holders of Special functions
The safety and security training concept of ETH Zurich defines that all ETH members must be demonstrably familiar with the safety and security basics of our university.
All ETH members know the safety and security aspects specifically relevant to their work and studies and observe them, especially in special functions.
Holders of special functions
Depending on the field of activity or research and the use of laboratories, workshops and technical facilities, special functions must be appointed. With the support of superiors or professors, the function holders ensure that safety instructions take place within the organizational unit or group and that protective measures are observed. In addition, they hold functions required by law, e.g. biosafety officer or laser safety officer. The research units either inform themselves independently about the necessary special functions, training and education, or they use the support of SSHE.
