Supervision of outgoing students

Is your institute supervising a student who will write a part of their thesis at another university?

If the university in question is a partner university of ETH, then the student may attend the partner university through an exchange programme. This means that the Student Exchange Office and the partner university will help them with the organisation of their stay; they will be exempt from tuition fees at the partner university; and they will be given an exchange scholarship.

If you are unsure if the university is a partner university of ETH, please refer interested students to the Student Exchange Office.

If the university is no partner university through an exchange programme, a self-organised stay might be option for the students.

Students have to inform their department's study secretary. In some departments, students have to apply officially to be allowed to write a thesis or project at another university.
