Scholarships
There are possible ways to receive financial support for exchanges through a program.
Students who take part in an ETH exchange at another university for one or two semesters to attend courses or work on a research paper usually receive a scholarship from ETH's Student Exchange Office. No special application is required for this.
The partner universities waive tuition fees. Students continue to pay tuition and other fees at ETH. The semester bill must be paid during the exchange.
SEMP participants with special needs have the opportunity to apply to Movetia through their university for additional financial means to cover part of any additional costs that may arise during their exchange studies due to their impairment.
Contact the Student Exchange Office at least four months before your exchange if you would like to submit a corresponding application.
Some host universities offer scholarships for exchange students. Check the website of your host university to learn about possible scholarships. (For the partner universities of the worldwide exchange programme, we have added all the information we have on our sites. Still, make sure to check their websites.)

The Novo Nordisk International Talent Program awards scholarships. (ETH is a member of IARU.)
The Heyning-Roelli Stiftung (foundation) supports many students who take part in an exchange programme at a Swiss university or carry out a Master's project (self organized) outside Europe with contributions towards travel and accommodation costs. The most important condition is that the students cannot readily cover these costs from their own funds. Good academic performance is normally guaranteed by ETH's own requirements for an exchange.
Applications are assessed individually and favourably.
