English, proof of proficiency required by the application deadline: Level C1, see Language requirements

GRE General Test

Required for students who have not obtained their Bachelor's degree in one of the external page EU/EFTA Member State countries.  

Minimum expected GRE scores:

  • GRE Analytical = 3.5 or 50%
  • GRE Quantitative = 165 or 90%
  • GRE Verbal = 155 or 70%.

Recommendation letter

Please provide two recommendation letters. We prefer letters from academia or from referees with an academic background. The letters will be part of a potential ESOP-Scholarship application.

Motivation letter

Approximately one A4 page in the language of instruction of the chosen programme, stating your motivation for choosing this specific Master's degree programme at ETH Zurich.

Areas of specialisation

Please choose one track. The qualifying BSc degrees for the individual tracks are listed in the requirement profiles. The binding selection will be specified on the admissions decision.
